Martin Steele
I’m Martin Steele, a UK-based landscape and seascape photographer with a love for capturing the raw, untamed beauty of the world around us. My work is rooted in the landscapes and seascapes of Britain, where shifting light, weather, and atmosphere come together to create fleeting moments that can never be repeated.
I’m especially drawn to the Highlands of Scotland – a place where drama and serenity meet in equal measure. The rugged mountains, vast lochs, and ever-changing skies have a timeless quality that continually inspires me to return, seeking to tell their story through my lens.
For me, photography is more than documenting a scene — it’s about translating the emotion of a place, the motion and drama of an ever changing coastline, the power of a storm rolling over the hills, or the solitude of a remote glen. My images are an attempt to hold on to those moments of raw atmosphere, where nature feels both immense and intimate.
Whether I’m standing on a windswept cliff, knee-deep in heather, or watching the last light fade into mist, I strive to create photographs that evoke a sense of connection — to land, sky, and time itself.
