There are few mountains in Wales quite as instantly recognisable as Tryfan, and on this day, the mountain was putting on a show worthy of its reputation. Perfect for my first ever visit to the area, and I couldn’t have asked for more!
Dark, brooding clouds gathered around the summit as shafts of sunlight broke through, illuminating the rugged rock face and the landscape below. Wisps of cloud drifted across the mountain, constantly changing the scene and giving Tryfan an almost timeless, untamed character.
From the ancient stone wall and rough mountain path in the foreground, the view leads naturally across the landscape towards the still waters below and the imposing Tryfan beyond. It's a scene that captures something I love about the mountains — wild weather, dramatic light and a landscape that feels completely at home beneath a restless sky.
